“Aerial Locomotion No.5 ” 2018, 6m x 7m, two animations projected, five styrofoam boards, metal stands, Melbourne, Australia, 2018

The animation is a collaborated video of the several mappings of the pattern of bird’s in flight.

The line travelling out of the audience vision was intended to imitate the personal experience when observing birds in nature.

The animation displayed opposite to each other create an unpredictable relation to each other that intends to engage, catch, hold and retain the attention of the viewers, as the lines and motions come in-sync and come out of sync with each other.

This reflects the dual visions of birds perception fields along with immersing viewers into the artwork's space.  A key focus was on creating an area for the artworks to inhabit without being limited or dictated by the walls and preexisting structure of the room.

This artwork was the crescendo of three years of studying sound and light installations at MADA, Monash University. The subject matter, being birds and their language, had been the primary focus of my works for over two years. This final graduation piece took 11 months of planning, exhibits and creating and is the fifth iteration of my 'Aerial Locomotion' series.
